1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern registration for and participation in workshops, masterclasses, training sessions, and educational programs offered by Aequitas (“Aequitas”).
By registering for, paying for, or attending any workshop, masterclass, or program, the participant or registering entity agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
- “Aequitas” or the “Institute” means the provider of the educational and professional training services.
- “Participant” means any individual or entity registering for, booking, or attending any program.
- “Program” includes workshops, masterclasses, seminars, educational sessions, and any professional training activities offered by Aequitas.
- “Fees” means the amounts payable for registration or participation.
3. Nature of Programs
Programs are provided for educational, informational, and professional development purposes only.
No materials, sessions, or content provided by Aequitas constitute legal advice, legal representation, or create a lawyer-client relationship between Aequitas, its instructors, and participants.
Programs do not constitute accredited academic qualifications, academic degrees, licensed professional certifications, or qualifications recognized by any governmental or regulatory authority. Any certificates issued by Aequitas are certificates of attendance or completion only and are provided solely for educational and professional development purposes.
4. Registration and Payment
- Registration is confirmed only upon completion of payment and receipt of registration confirmation from Aequitas.
- Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Aequitas reserves the right to reject or cancel any registration in the event of:
- inaccurate information;
- breach of these Terms;
- or for operational or organizational reasons deemed appropriate by Aequitas.
- Fees cover only the services or materials expressly described in the relevant program description unless otherwise stated.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- All fees paid are non-refundable once registration has been confirmed.
- Aequitas may, at its sole discretion, permit transfer of registration to another program or issue future credit in exceptional circumstances.
- Failure to attend or withdrawal after registration does not entitle the participant to any refund.
- Once access has been granted to any digital materials, recordings, or program content, fees become strictly non-refundable.
6. Amendments and Cancellation by Aequitas
Aequitas reserves the right to:
- modify program schedules, content, or instructors;
- postpone or reschedule programs;
- convert programs between online and in-person formats;
- cancel programs for operational, organizational, or minimum enrollment reasons.
In the event of cancellation by Aequitas before commencement of the program, participants may be offered:
- transfer to another program;
- future credit;
- or refund of the fees paid, as determined by Aequitas.
Aequitas shall not be liable for any indirect costs or losses incurred by participants due to cancellation or modification.
7. Intellectual Property and Training Materials
All materials and content provided within the programs, including:
- presentations;
- recordings;
- documents;
- studies;
- videos;
- educational materials;
remain the exclusive property of Aequitas or its licensors.
Participants may not:
- copy, distribute, publish, resell, or reproduce materials;
- record or photograph sessions;
- use content for commercial or training purposes without prior written consent from Aequitas.
All intellectual property rights are reserved.
8. Conduct and Professional Standards
Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct and mutual respect throughout the programs.
Aequitas reserves the right to remove any participant without refund in cases of:
- abusive or inappropriate conduct;
- disruption of the program;
- intellectual property violations;
- breach of these Terms.
9. Recordings and Online Sessions
Certain programs or sessions may be recorded for educational, operational, or documentation purposes.
By participating in a program, participants acknowledge and consent to such recording unless written objection is submitted prior to the commencement of the session.
Aequitas reserves the right to use recordings for internal, educational, or promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aequitas, its instructors, affiliates, and collaborators shall not be liable for:
- any direct or indirect losses or damages;
- technical failures or connectivity issues;
- inability of participants to attend programs for any reason;
- decisions or actions taken based on program content.
Aequitas does not guarantee any particular professional, academic, or career outcome arising from participation in its programs.
11. Force Majeure
Aequitas shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation, or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- major technical failures;
- internet or platform outages;
- governmental actions;
- pandemics or emergencies;
- or other exceptional circumstances.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Participants consent to the collection, use, and processing of personal information in accordance with the Aequitas Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
The courts of the State of Qatar shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of participation in the programs.
